ABOUT US

The club was formed in 1992 under the name of: Basketball Club of Disabled in a Wheelchair "Vojvodina"-Novi Sad
It was registered as an Independent Sport Organization at the Republic Ministry of Education and Sport.
Over the last couple of years over 60 people, with and without disabilities (handicaps), from all around Vojvodina participated in the junction of the club.
The players from our club have different kinds and levels of disabilities, like:
-Paraplegia
-Para paresis 
-Paralysis
-Leg amputation
Besides achieving top sport results, the purpose of the club is to have as many members as possible, who are going to ameliorate mental and physical abilities, self confidence and socializing through sport.
There are few players from Club "Vojvodina" who played and still play successfully on the international level.
Also, the coach is participating in the functioning of a national team.
Ever since the club was formed, our team has had a complete domination at the home tournaments and has won
- trophy "Novi Sad"
- trophy "Belgrade"
- trophy "Phoenix"
- trophy "Čačak"
.
Every year the Club "Vojvodina" is the winner of the national cup and the championship.
The club did not compete in any official European cup in organization of IWBF (International Wheelchair Basketball Federation) because of the sanctions against our country and because of a very difficult financial and material situation.
However, the team did compete in many international friendly tournaments, where they had remarkable results.
The results obtained during the national championship allowed the Club "Vojvodina" to participate in a Euro Cup- "Willy Brinkmann" in the 2006/07 season.
